About Hagley Oval
Hagley Oval is a cricket ground set among the trees and fields of Hagley Park, with seating for 20,000, 11 pitches and night lighting. It hosts T20, one day and Test cricket at club, national and international level, including two past ICC World Cup tournaments.
The precinct also has the Hadlee Pavilion, which is available for hire for weddings, dinners, conferences, balls, workshops and team meetings, and the Sir Richard Hadlee Sports Centre, an indoor training facility for several sporting codes. Bookings go through the Venues Ōtautahi team, who describe the Pavilion as a place for weddings and community festivals as well as corporate gatherings.
